As you travel the paths alongside the winter woodland and meadow, you may spot a cardinal perching on the winter branches, a squirrel scurrying from one tree to the next, or perhaps a doe and her fawn quietly watching you through the safety of the trees. The fresh, crisp, winter air is the perfect retreat from the stresses of busy day to day life. ---FAQ's--- -WHAT IF I HAVE NEVER RIDDEN A HORSE? Our horses are safe and experienced with all levels of riders, even beginners! In fact, absolutely no prior experience is necessary to enjoy a horseback riding adventure at Cardinal Stables. Our staff and trail guides are knowledgeable and experienced in working with adults and children. We are experts at making you feel safe, comfortable and right at home! -ARE THERE AGE & WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS? YES! Riders must be 8 years of age and over, and must be accompanied by an adult at all times. We follow a precise horse/rider weight ratio, and regret that we are not able to accommodate riders over 250lbs at this time. HOW LONG WILL WE BE THERE? When planning your daily schedule, we recommend allowing aprox 1.5 hours from the time you arrive at the gate, until returning to your vehicle.
